It's all in a name......

The hotel have anglicised all the hotel staff names with some interesting results. There is the tiny receptionist called Miss Big, the IT specialist called Mr Bean, the waitress called Miss Nok working with the waiter called Mr Ia (that’s an I by the way, not an L – think about it, but perhaps they call each other on the phone….) A male receptionist called Mr Arm. The man who serves tea in the restaurant is Mr Chai, the morning egg chef is Mr Bomb. We passed two housekeeping personnel called Mr Pat and Miss Boon… And you have to hope that Mr Kan and Mr Not are not on duty at the same time….. But if Mr Wye and Mr Not are on duty, then things should be good. Then there’s the waitress with slightly greasy hair called Miss Oil, and the one who always has a big smile on her face called Miss Joy. It doesn’t take much to keep Carole and I amused, but I’m not sure what the staff have made of us studying their left chest area each time we see them to get their names……
