She flies through the air with the greatest of ease.... (January 14 2010)

Gill went zip-lining!!! I am not sure what was in the water this morning, but so excited was Gill at the forest, that she opted to join me zip-lining through the canopy, nine flights in all, right at the top of the canopy, with howler monkeys in close pursuit! We finished the day at El Remate ( La Casa de Don David’) cute, clean rooms, right on the shores of Peten Itza lake and only $20 per room. El Remate is on the shores of Lake Peten Itza, yet more records, this is the second largest lowland lake in Guatemala – there always has to be a record of some sort! Emma and Elliot joined us for dinner and a drink and we swapped stories. All four of us were so relaxed, none of us could remember exactly what day of the week it was – we did work it out eventually! It’ll probably be the last time our paths will cross on this trip at least.
