We have spent some time reflecting on the travellers rules that help ensure safe passage to us and fellow travellers.
Do not drink ice
Avoid firearms
Do not eat ice cream
Don’t drink in the midday sun
Do not eat salad
Do not sleep underneath an active volcano
Do not sleep on 3rd floor in an earthquake zone
Don’t forget your sun-hat
Do not get into strange buses on the street – destination unknown.
Do not engage with local police
Don’t talk with strangers
Don’t get drunk
Don’t walk dark streets late at night.
Avoid large crowds
Do not party with soldiers with guns
Don’t drink local firewater
Four days into the trip and we have broken every single rule – some on many occasions! Must try harder.
